Sarawak Trip Day 1 -.- ZzzZ,, its over ?

Well all, it was ahhh, urmmm, urrrr, damn i forgot the date........ hold on i've got a calender here...(looking at calender and thinking)...ohh, 17th of Nov till the 20th of November i was in




SaRaWaK !!!

And F.Y.I, i brought my phone but was just unbelievably lazy to take pics so i will be putting the links to the guy who also went 2 Sarawak and took pics but mine will be full detail =P

Well, time for a detailed experience of the trip in my eyes, the Ashvin Eyes.

It all started in the a.m, we had to gather at the school at 4.00 and take a bus to the other airport, where else than Low Cut Cost Carrier !

well i woke up at 3 i think and got ready drudgingly. I mean come on, who is active at 3 ? Well i did my so call final checking to my luggage but it was in vain as i still forgot some stuff. I left at 3.45 and was there by 3.47 i think. Nearly everyone was there except our V.I.P's Sai Keet and Reshan who arrived fashionably late. I was so energized at that time, i find it so amusing that i have like a battery in me, if i dont try 2 get back 2 sleep, i will be energised for 5 hours, then its all downhill, i will feel like i have no mood 2 do anything.

Well the trip 2 LCCT was not so fabulous. We were saving costs so the bus we rented was not of the highest caliber. It was a bas sekolah obviously, but a small one, i think the 30-36 seater, + it was not so clean, the top where the bags were kept had some wrappers among things, and some of the cloth they used 2 wrap the chairs were torn. All in all i gave the bus a 3/10 rating (because it could work and there were no accidents =) ) I think on the way i tried 2 sleep but failed. On the way we passed some fields i think, and the smell was very 'buffalo'ish. The other notable thing is we passed some bridge that i think Naga said had 2 do with Dr. Mahathir but i cant really remember.

We arrived at LCCT, which was suprisingly crowded that early in the morning, we loaded our luggage into trolleys and went 2 the aeroplane, at the place you wait before boarding I was bored outta my skull, we checked in and i saw a lot of the counter fella's ( no offense ) were Malays, who have dyed their har, wearing heavy make up, and im wondering isn't that not allowed ? well i kept that 2 myself.

At the plane, i asked ben and Skae where 2 sit and they all kept saying, wing, wing, wing, finnaly only i was at the wing, but for me was ok, cos i have never flown before and i wanted 2 be independant and do it alone. There was someone at the back of me talking quite loudly, and lol 2 my suprise it was my teacher Mr. Shafie talking 2 me, i was so blur.

Anyway the plane was an airbus, so im thinking Express Rapid KL
I was kinda terrified at the start, not cos i was scared, i was like so curios how flying was, so im like ok we are lifting off, instead the plane makes a left turn, my so called nervousness turned 2 complete irratation as the bloody plane took so long 2 take off.

When the captain made his call he mentioned our school name ! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

In the plane i sat, a malay guy came and sat next 2 me {me,empty,guy}
I saw his paper and saw the sports section, and as a man i wanted 2 read it, and without thinking i for a fraction of a second looked like i was going 2 take it, then i realised what i was doing. I think he did to because after that he offered me the paper.

sleeping 20,000 feet above sea level was it ?
When i woke up

WOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, ENERGY RUSH
im a weird guy, let me sleep and i can get up powerpacked and ready 2 rumble, and OMG i was so frustrated as i was so pumped and was stuck in the plane. the closest people sitting near me (that i know) was Mars, Ange, and Just
when i slept i saw them at one spot, when i awoke all scattered, Ange behind me looking 2 lean back, Just in front left, looking around and Mars behind left reading the paper. Then we talked and i read the paper and we were there. The view of the river from the beach going inland was so nice from up in the air.

WE ARE IN SARAWAK !!!!

Haha Ashvin has landed!!!!!!!!!! i saw some umbrella's on the way to the other airport when i jokingly said to Justin, wanna take one ? he said 'can meh'
(obviously we did not take it)


Then i went 2 the loo to wash my face, i washed my hands and was a bit blur, i walked to the dryer thing for your hands,i stood there putting my hands there and nothing came out, then Benjamin started laughing at me saying 'that is the tissue dispenser la' Then i read the thing, lol walked away to the real one and dried off my hands.


WE then like the immigrants we are checked into Sarawak, on the way out we say our tour guide, Miss Levia. She was holding a card saying SMK Desa Perdana, lol.....
the bus driver's name is Mr.Kok if my spelling is correct.

Then off we went 2 explore the other side of Malaysia !
Err, she mentioned we the shops closed at 5.00 p.m, thats all i can remember from then =)

Then BREAKFAST XD FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD, well i decided to have the Kolo Mee which miss Lydia recommended i also ordered Lemon Tea Small, lol i was so dissapointed though, lemon tea turned to be very bad XD, but the Kolo Mee totally made up for it!
I think someone said it was like Wan tan mee, but lol, when i order food i usually forget the name unless its a usual food like Chicken rice, Fried rice, Mutton rice (yes i DAmn hell like mutton) mee hun, and errrr some others.

So there most of us ordered Kolo mee, i think Jason ordered Chicken rice, Justin ordered Santan rice or Fried rice with chicken, cant remember, oh and naga just ordered a drink i think.

Then we visited the lucky chinese cat that paw is up so its waving !
NO offense the cat could use some repainting and maybe they should cut the whiskers so it would look like a nicer cat.
Then some pics ( not here, follow the links ) were taken, miss Lydia had so many camera's and was taking the pics one by one.

Then we moved on to





The Sarawak Sivic Centre!! Lol, the tallest building in Sarawak
, haizzzzzzzzz , they can seriously build better, i think the Telekom building is way taller than that, but the view was quite nice, we could see a tennis court, according to ben, sora would have liked that, and a cemetary was so visible, Hauntedness** joking, i saw a souvenier which i REALLY wanted but thought i 3 more days, surely can find another one,,,boy was i wrong, totally regretting that decision =(.

THEN, we went to some museum , really nice museum, i think.........the displays was really well done, but sadly since our group was a bit big I went and explored the place myself and didnt really listen to miss Lydia cos if I did i would have 2 struggle and see what she is pointing 2 so i didn't bother, i can remember some crocodile had eaten a lot of human hair and was later taken out and put in the museum................. idiot swimmers.................

Other stuff i remember there were these tiki like wood carvings, swords, shields, shells, nice ones too, oyster and pearl, a killer whale ( i think XD ) skeleton, some masks, tribal stuff.... a lot of animals.... some petroleum stuff.

i think then we went 2




Harbour View Hotel, 3 Star hotel, i shared a room with Justin, who was a very interesting character, i enjoyed irratating him, his laugh is so charming. a must hear, not his normal laugh, his DEVELOPED laugh must be heard,

Then some of us went for lunch, then that was split into 2 groups, some went to Mary's place and some to a chinese place,
MAKAN MAKAN MAKAN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i WAS STARVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so i had yet another of Sarawak's specialties, laksa Sarawak, i also ordered Ribena Sprite but sadly no more =(
BTW, laksa sarawak should be ordered in the morning or afternoon at most shops because it runs out.

Then some went shopping, a lot of funny things being sold at the side, some bought,
etc
etc

then we went to parkson, some of them needed flashlights and Yen required a towel.
I on the other hand required both but ended up buying Pringles
What can I say, i like chips,

Then we retired back to the hotel for a quick shower and we went off to the Waterfront for dinner, We went to some place which included Kareoke,
Everyone except me ate because the price was sky high.

Mabuk and Judi was the song of the night

On the way back to Harbour View, Cheng Mun and i ordered Azza Burger,
i ordered Full Chicken, Full Cheese and
the only downside was the wait for the food. Laksa took around 11 minutes.

Then we went back and i walloped the burger and OMG was so freaking GOOD
i would come back 2 Sarawak just for that =)
Then Mr. Shafie, Benjamin, Sai Keet, Cheng Mun, Li Jean (correct me if im wrong) and I went or bowling at somewhere near parkson.

I went and had the funniest game of bowling my friends had ever seen,
and hah, i managed to get mym first ever strike (this is due to me not bowled for YEARS)

I started leaning as if the ball would follow, i even tried to roll the ball just for the fun of it and Lol , it managed to knock a few down, ask one of the ones who attended about it, i forget fast.

Then headed 2 7-eleven for Li Jean who wanted to buy some repellant for the caves the next day but sadly there wasnt any that she liked, there was this huge Ridsect though.

Then walked back to the hotel at night

Went to the room

offed the light

Went to sleep

Environment, yeah i know its not so bright

NO, seriously im kinda laughing, not at the video but at the simplicity of our environment, i mean come on, all of us know whats going on but ignorantly ignore this while abusing it.

I mean all of us, don't lie to yourself dont actually give a damn, i mean honestly, no rubbish bin near you and you chuck it somewhere , i know i do that so ill TRY, ( THe word try implies i might, not perfectly but i will give it a shot )

Either they choose the first African-American man to be President that is Senator Barack Obama or they choose Senator John McCain, the oldest man ever to be president. the Show has been phenomenal to me as a small sideshow was supplied in the form of the Palin-TIna Fey fiasco, those who have been living under a rock or dont care abt other countries politics, let me tell you what went down, Tina Fey who bears a striking resemblence t0 Sarah Palin, the woman behind Senator McCain's campaign, Tina went and did some skit and managed to 'reduce' the number of people who liked Palin, heres the video
